Many people choose to sell their finished products. Whether you choose to sell at craft shows, consignment shops, boutiques, on auction websites, on your own business website, or just to friends and family, there are many details you can implement to make getting your bows out on the market a simpler process. :::::::::::::::::::::: Supplies can be obtained online and in brick-and-mortar stores at both retail and wholesale prices. I am in the process of collecting a list of good options for materials. In the meantime, please visit the advertisers on this site by using the links in the left-hand column. Many suppliers advertise on this site and I have used several of them with great results. Also, if you recommend a particular supplier, please e-mail me with the details. Making Display Cards can be a simple process. For small quantities, you can rubber stamp a unique card on which to affix your box individually. If you have a design program on your computer, you can design a logo and a simple card template and print them on cover-quality glossy cardstock. Be sure to check out FreeLogoServices. If you want to have your logo in a print-quality file format, though I would suggest checking out Yes Logo. I wrote a little about how to use them on my blog: The Search for a Logo. Business Cards look professional. If you are selling your bows and want to keep business startup costs low in the beginning, you might consider having free business cards printed through Vista Print. They are free, you pay a low shipping fee and they do include a small URL on the back. None the less, this is the most professional card you will ever find for FREE. I have used them myself. They look fantastic. And, who can turn down free? Please make sure when ordering that you uncheck all boxes agreeing to any additional programs or services. Read all of the fine print. Free really can be free, but you have to take the time to make sure you are not duped into additional charges. Accepting credit card payments is great for your business. Whether you sell your bows via auction or from your own website, accepting credit cards is the safest, easiest way for your customers to pay you. Sign up for a PayPal merchant account. This is the most economical way to set yourself up to accept credit cards online. Shopping cart options are available. HTML programs like Nvu are free, open-source software. Nvu is absolutely as feature-loaded as Frontpage, but for FREE. Free services for image Hosting and auction templates can be found all over the web. Do a search and hundreds of helpful sites will come up, like PhotoBucket, FreeForm or Auctiva. For site hosting and domain name registration, I can personally recommend GoDaddy and Dotster (for as little as $5.95 a month) for both registration and hosting. I Use It
