Materials:

Hot glue gun
Glue Sticks
2 different colors of ribbon
Alligator clip
Needle and thread
Scissors or wood burning tool

Step-by-Step Instructions

cut 10 lengths of ribbon:

10 inches of each color of 7/8” ribbon
7 inches of each color of 5/8” ribbon
4 ½ inches of each color of 7/8” ribbon
3 ½ inches of each color of 5/8” ribbon
4 inches of one color (either one) of 3/8” ribbon
3 inches of one color (either one) of 3/8” ribbon

Loop the 2 10 inch ribbons and hot glue the ends together.
Loop the 2 7 inch ribbons and hot glue the ends together.
Use scissors or wood burning tool too notch the ends of the 4 ½” and 3 ½” ribbons.
Glue the two colors of the 4 ½” ribbon together.
Glue the two colors of the 3 ½” ribbon together.

*just use a very little bit of glue, otherwise the bow will get too thick in the middle.

Take the 2 10” loops and lay one on top of the other in an elongated X.
Take the 2 7” loops and lay one on top of the other in an elongated X.

Use a needle and thread to weave through the center of the X’s, keeping the needle in the ribbon, enter from the top, bring the needle back up, take it back down and finally bring the needle back up.  Use fingers to pinch the fabric together and pull the needle and thread through.  Using care, pull thread taut and wrap around the center of the X 2 times then push the needle through the center again and tie off.  Do this for both X’s.

Put the 7/8” notched ribbon down with pink (or whatever color you are using) end on the upper left side.  Set the large X on top of that with the pink arm in the upper left side.  Put the 5/8” notched ribbon down on top of the large X with the pink end on the upper left side.  Put the small X on top of that with the white arm in the upper left side. There should now be 4 layers.

Use thread, wire, or jewelry elastic to tie the 4 layers together, making sure that the layers all look the way you want them position-wise.

Line an alligator clip with the 4 inches of 3/8” ribbon:
Using hot glue attach the back side of the bow to the alligator clip. Take the 3 inch strip of the 3/8” ribbon and finish off the center of your bow.

All finished.
